Precipitated Barium Sulphate from Talents Minerals China.

As a synthetic barium sulfate, TLZ-PBS uses high-purity barium salt and sodium sulfate solution as raw materials, with special preparation process, its particle size is well controlled, and the impurity content is reduced to a very low range. TLZ-PBS is a highly inert chemical substance, acid and alkali resistant, insoluble in water and any organic solvents, and has good light resistance and weather resistance. TLZ-PBS has a narrow particle size distribution, a small specific surface area and a small amount of base material.

TLZ-PBS has a Mohs hardness of 3, so it has very little abrasiveness. TLZ-PBS has strong light reflection ability not only in visible light, but also in ultraviolet and infrared wavelength range. Therefore, TLZ-PBS can retain the vividness and hue of system pigments while showing high brightness. Through the technical know-how obtained in the production of titanium dioxide, the average particle size of TLZ-PBS can be as fine less than 1.0 microns, while having a narrow particle size distribution similar to that of titanium dioxide.

The remarkable advantage of TLZ-PBS is that it can be dispersed well in any system with only a very small amount of base material. As an indispensable additive, the application of TLZ-PBS in high-quality functional plastics is becoming increasingly important. The special grinding process, two inorganic treatments and its own special crystal shape enable TLZ-PBS to continuously meet the needs of the plastic industry.

TLZ-PBS does not contain some impurities harmful to elastomers. Therefore, TLZ-PBS is particularly suitable as an extender for elastomers. Other advantages include good rheology, low abrasion and high chemical purity. TLZ-PBS has proven its application potential in thermosetting molding compounds, especially in color adjustment formulations. The combination of TLZ-PBS and pigments can achieve bright colors, repeatable tones and perfect surface gloss. Low base material consumption and low hardness ensure the high rheology of TLZ-PBS in the system, low wear on equipment or molds, and good mechanical properties of finished products.

TLZ-PBS can be applied to all thermoplastics. It can improve the rigidity, hardness and wear resistance of plastic products. TLZ-PBS has high thermal conductivity and rheology, which can help shorten the cycle of plastic injection molding. TLZ-PBS can also increase the crystallinity of thermoplastic polymers, thereby improving the strength of the product (especially the impact strength at low temperature) and geometric stability.

A very important use of TLZ-PBS is to play the role of pigment dispersant in masterbatch. As we all know, most plastic pigments are expensive, and how to improve the efficiency of pigments has become a concern for color masterbatch manufacturers. Different pigments absorb, reflect and scatter light in different wavelengths, colors and quantities, but one thing is the same. The area where the pigment can be used to scatter light determines the efficiency of the color. However, almost all pigments will more or less appear agglomeration or flocculation in the application, and the use efficiency of the pigment will be reduced due to the reduction of the scattering area. Research and practice show

TLZ-PBS can help the pigment dispersion in the process of masterbatch production, and because the light refraction factor of TLZ-PBS is similar to common polymers, the addition of TLZ-PBS will not affect the color of the pigment in the product. The application found that by using TLZ-PBS as a pigment dispersion aid, the amount of pigment in the masterbatch can be effectively saved, usually by 10%.
